May 2012 Plank Challenge

You have joined the party a few days late, but no worries, you are not far behind!  I found this plank challenge on and wanted to share it with all of you.  Haven't you always wanted to do the plank for 6 minutes:).  Well I have and will on 5/31/2012.

I love the plank exercise because you don't need any equipment, just your body and it works your abdominal muscles, back, legs and arms!  To perform a plank lie face down on your forearms.  Then lift yourself up into a push-up position keeping your back, hips and legs straight and tighten your ab muscles.  Hold position as long as you can.

Here is your May challenge schedule which gradually increases your plank time each day.  Good luck!
