Mother's Day Appetizer Bar

We are hosting mother's day this year and I love spending time on appetizers.  You can have a lot of fun with appetizers and their display.  They also keep guests happy and satisfied as you prepare the dinner.  Here are some perfect Mother's Day appetizers.
Cheese Plate- a cheese plate is so easy.  You just pick out your favorite cheeses, can sneak in a few low fat versions in if you like, add some raw almonds, champagne grapes and olives and you are all set.  It is also fun to label the cheeses for your guests.  One appetizer down.

Bloody Mary Shrimp Soup Shots- These are fun and you can make them non-alcoholic if you desire.  Here is a great recipe from Epicurious that I use.

Caprese- Another super easy and healthy appetizer.  Get small mozzarella balls, small cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and mix with a dash of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.  Put in cute, individual serving size cups.

Crab Dip- I don't even take measurements for this.  In a baking dish mix reduced fat cream cheese, fresh crab meat, shredded parmesan cheese, chopped sweet onion, dash of garlic olive oil, dash of red cayenne pepper and mix together.  Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes until top is golden.  I have never done this before, but I am going to try and find whole wheat phyllo cups and put a spoonful of the dip in each like the picture below.
