Top 5 Fittest Women Celebrities

Everyone needs a role model and positive influence to look up to for some extra motivation when setting your mind to accomplishing a health and fitness goal.  The goal could be to lose 10 lbs (seems to be a very common one), get stronger, look leaner, have more energy, etc.  Celebrities work hard to look good through healthy eating and exercise.  Here is a top 5 fittest celebrity list with their diet and exercise plans to help push and guide you to a fitter body.

Top 5 Fittest Women Celebrities

1. Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel looks amazing and expresses in several articles that she feels just as amazing on the inside.  When asked about her secrets to staying fit, she says she sticks to the basics: “For me, getting enough sleep, drinking lots of water, having a healthy diet, and staying away from alcohol are musts. It’s so boring, I know, but doing those things really helps.”  She does admit to diet slips, but she eats very healthy most of the time and sticks with her workout routine.  She must be fit because she has climbed to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro!

She believes that moderation is key and that is so true and so hard for many of us to moderate certain foods in our diet.

Jessica Biel’s Workout:
  • Stretch: One of her favorite warm-ups is the walking lunge.
  • Cardio: Cardio leans Jessica out.  After a ½-mile jog, they hit the track for two 200-meter, 150-meter and 100-meter sprints.
  • Core: Jessica does 3 sets of 15 hanging leg raises to flatten her stomach.
  • Plyometrics: Jessica jumps stairs.  She jumps from the bottom step of a flight of at least 20 stairs to the third, then keeps going, skipping a stair each jump.
  • Weight Training: She uses lighter weights and increases reps.  She also keeps moving during the weight training to increase cardio time.
  • For the waist: Jessica does the Russian Twist. To do this you need to sit down and lean back slightly. Hold a 5-lb. medicine ball and twist from side to side, 15 twists per side, three reps.
  • For shoulders/biceps: She stands with knees slightly bent. Holds 10-lb. weights in each hand. Curls to chest. Rotates hands, palms face outward. Presses overhead together. Does 3 sets of 10-12 reps..
Jessica Biel’s Diet:

Jessica eats non-processed foods also known as clean foods.  She also eats more carbs in the morning which she knows she will burn off during the day.  Here is a sample diet day for Jessica:
  • Breakfast: 1 cup of oatmeal with handful of berries.
  • Snack: 1 slice whole wheat toast, 1-1 ½ tbsp. of almond butter and sliced bananas on top.
  • Lunch: Salad with 5-6 oz of chicken, vinegar based dressing.
  • Snack: A banana, apple or strawberries.
  • Dinner: 6oz. of fish, plate full of veggies, 1/2 cup of low-glycemic basmati rice. Sometimes she will have a couple of pieces of dark chocolate for dessert.
2. Cameron Diaz

Cameron is known to be a fit celebrity, look at those arms!  I read she worked out for 8 hours a day to train for the movie Charlie's Angels.  Cameron focuses on eating 5 to 6 small meals per day and always eats breakfast. She believes in portion control and eating low-carbohydrate meals.  Cameron Diaz’s diet plan includes garlic, rice, broccolini, eggs, lemon and either chicken or beef for breakfast. For her second meal, she drinks protein shake with water. For lunch, she consumes salad and lean chicken or beef. For her fourth meal, she eats fruits and a handful of nuts. For dinner, she eats egg white omelets with herbs, tomato, onion, mushrooms, and for her last meal of the day, she drinks another protein shake with water.  That looks like a pretty strict South Beach style diet.

Cameron Diaz’s exercise regimen includes cardio for 30 minutes and 30 minutes on lightweights, reverse lunges and pilates. Cameron is also very active on top of her workout with a trainer and loves hiking, surfing, and snowboarding.

3. Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has maintained a great figure for years.  She is 43 years old and looks so youthful and in shape.  Jen recently shared her diet and exercise secrets with In Style magazine and here they are.

"Most of the time I eat things like salmon or other fish, quinoa, lentils, and green vegetables," Aniston said. "You're told to avoid fried food, but I don't always. I had Mexican the other night and ate everything you can imagine! I also take Omega Cure liquid fish oil and resveratrol, which is supposed to be good for your heart."

"I work out almost every day, at least five or six days a week. I do 40 minutes of cardio: spinning, running, the elliptical, or a combination of all three," she said. "Then I do Pilates one day a week, and I do yoga in addition to that, three days a week. I try to mix it up. I take 8 pound weights with me whenever I'm staying in a hotel. It's always good to do arm exercises when you're watching television or talking on the phone. I also love to stretch before I go to bed, and usually throw in a couple of sit ups."

4. Kelly Ripa

Kelly Ripa is ripped.  She is so lean and toned that is almost unbelievable.  Here is some insight into Kelly's workout and diet routine.

Kelly follows a strict portion control and lower carbohydrate diet.  She skips breakfast and just has some coffee in the morning which is not recommended for a healthy, successful diet plan, but works for her. She starts eating around mid-morning and eats small and healthy meals throughout the day. She also has a family chef who educated her regarding nutrition and portion control which is a nice luxury. Ripa usually has fruit, nuts and yogurt for snacks. She eats a lot of vegetables and lean protein and keeps her saturated fats at a minimum.

For Kelly's workout she is addicted to a program called “Physique 57,” which is a fitness routine that combines Pilates, ballet and calisthenics. It is one hour in duration and filled with fast-paced, intense exercises that combine upper body strength and fitness training.  Kelly does this class 4 days per week.  In addition she runs 5 miles 5 days a week!  In addition to that she has a personal trainer that she trains with.  This sounds like a great plan to me.  May not be practical for most, but no wonder she is so lean.

5. Miranda Kerr

Miranda follows a very clean and organic diet, avoiding extremely processed sugars and whole grains. She normally get her carbs from fruit and veggies.  She also drinks a lot of green tea which speeds up the metabolism and aids in weight loss.  This diet mixed with Miranda's workout plan keeps her slim and beautiful for the Victoria Secret runway.

Miranda Kerr Workout Plan:

Miranda utilizes a body-weight circuit workout with particular focus on the core.  Some of the body-weight exercises include plank, hanging leg raises, oblique crunches, and lying leg raises.  She also does cardio intervals (bursts of high-intensity followed by lower intensity) including running and biking.

Miranda Kerr Diet Plan:

Breakfast:
  • Yogurt and muesli together with fresh fruit salad
  • Boiled Eggs with rye toast with avocado
  • lemon and ginger water
  • a cup of green tea
Lunch:
  • Spelt crispbreads together with fresh tuna salad
  • Lemon water
  • Dandelion Tea
Dinner:
  • Either fish or lamb loin chops or a salmon steak or other or a piece of steak with salad or veggies
  • A lot of greens and sweet potato and pumpkin roasted.
  • Ginger with a cup of green tea
There is a definite pattern going on here for a sexy, healthy, lean and fit body.  I see portion control, clean eating, low carb and low sugar diet, filling up on vegetables, working out A LOT, workout variety, workout intensity.

Who would you add to the list?  There are several other fit celebrities out there.  I find these celebrities very motivating.  Stick a picture of one of them on your freezer to prevent overeating.
