Skinny Women Count Calories

Losing weight and maintaining a lean figure all comes down to caloric intake and caloric expenditure.  It is simple when you think about it.  You can't eat more than you are burning off, if you eat 500 calories less than your body requires during a day, you will lose one pound a week.

There are several calorie intake calculators for weight loss online that let you know how many calories you can eat during a day and how much weight you will lose per week.  I use the app myfitnesspal which does all of the calculations for me.  I log what I eat and my exercise during each day and the app tracks everything utilizing a huge database of foods which includes their calorie/nutrient amounts.  You can select if you want to maintain or lose weight and how many lbs per week you want to lose.

Counting your calories really keeps you aware of what and how much you are eating.  It also motivates you to exercise so you have more calories at the end of the day for dinner, a treat or for going out to eat with friends and family.  You also become more aware of portion size which is key to losing weight.  I have noticed that some skinny women eat whatever they want, but if you really pay attention, their strength is small, controlled portions.

It can be hard to restrict your calories sometimes and does require willpower and positive influences, but if you want to lose weight, you have to count your calories.  Making smart food choices like eating vegetables and lean protein help you stay within the appropriate calorie range.  Start counting your calories today to shed some pounds before summer time!
